Expression of Interest – Region Executive Committee

Due to the recent resignation of two valued members of the SE Region Management Committee – Mick Duprez and Lorraine Bird – expressions of interest are now invited to fill the following key volunteer roles:

🔹 1 x Male & 1 x Female Management Committee Member
(In accordance with gender balance requirements in the SE Region Constitution.)

In addition, due to these resignations the following committee leadership positions are now open:

Position Vacancies & Role Summaries
Secretary
• Coordinate and manage monthly Zoom meetings
• Record and distribute minutes of all meetings
• Maintain and organise regional records
• Provide administrative support to ensure smooth running of regional bowls events

Chair of Match
• Lead the Match Committee and chair Zoom meetings as required
• Prepare the annual Regional Calendar of Events
• Oversee organisation and delivery of regional competition rounds (state pathway events)
• Liaise with clubs, selectors, and volunteers involved in regional match operations

Why Get Involved?
These are critical roles in supporting the core business of the SE Region – the delivery of high-quality regional competitions aligned with the Bowls NSW State Events Pathway. We particularly encourage past champions, experienced bowlers, and club leaders to step forward
and consider: “Am I willing to give back to the game?” These positions are not overly time-consuming and do not require significant travel – but they do
require commitment, teamwork, and a willingness to take responsibility. You’ll join a supportive team and help shape the future of bowls in the SE Region.

Requirements
• Willingness to work in a team
• Basic computer skills
• Access to a computer or tablet
• Passion for bowls and willingness to contribute to the sport’s success in our region

These vacancies come into effect at the upcoming AGM on 24 August, 2025.
